It was in July 2011 that the first final of the European Cosplay Gathering took place at the Japan Expo, since this year, the Paris convention hosts this competition every year on the big stage Ichigo.

Before reaching the final, participants must be preselected via a competition organized by a convention in their respective countries in order to become the representative thereafter: Connichi (Germany), FACTS (Belgium), J-Popcon (Denmark), Salon Del Manga Barcelona (Spain), Desucon Frostbite (Finland), Japan Expo (France), Dreamhack Winter (Sweden), Lucca Comics & Games (Italy), Animecon (Netherlands), Japanicon (Poland), Iberanime (Portugal), Animefest (Czech Republic), East European Comic Con (Romania), EGX (UK) and Polymanga (Switzerland).

A regulation is made available on the various sites of these conventions so that cosplayers can read the conditions of participation, it is also available in English on the ECG website.

You can now purchase the STARPASS ECG pass (this ticket does not represent an entrance to JAPAN EXPO), so that you can ensure a seat in the front row and a wire cutter facilitating access to see the show. This post will support the organization of the ECG.
